My name’s Dara, and I write this blog. That’s me over there (I always travel in a cloud of balloons).

I’m a comedic actor and writer, and I basically use this blog as a means to practice my writing on a daily basis (just kidding. I want this blog to turn into a book, that turns into a movie, and I want Meryl Streep to play me regardless of age. She’s so versatile).

If you’re confused as to why this blog is called Brunch for Every Meal and what I write about… it’s hard to describe. I write about everything (dating, things I find annoying [which is a lot of things], food, reality Housewives from all walks of life), and the name is BFEM because I can tell you that if you really like brunch, you will probably enjoy half-reading this blog while you watch Ice Loves Coco (btw, that’s another thing I write about a lot). I know this because if you appreciate brunch and believe in its ideals of unapologetic fancy-shmancy-ness, the right to order pancakes even if you don’t get out of bed til noon, and judgement-free drinking of champagne before 3pm… then you might like the blog written by someone who also believes in those things.

  1. As much as I admire your obvious commitment to ” higher ideals” I must chasten you for not even mentioning that perennial favorite of the gentile brunch crowd “crepes” and can only hope that in hindsight you’ll properly reassess this glaring omission. Good Day!

  2. Haha I have a very good feeling that I am going to love following your blog. A) Meryl Streep should play anyone, of any age, at any time. She is epic and like you said – freakishly versatile. B) I am also an actor and writer so yay for commonalities! And C) Brunch is the best meal ever created. (Along with Breakfast for Dinner…because who doesn’t want to come home to a batch of pancakes and syrup after a long day at work?) Keep up the excellent writing!

On most birthday cards, Instead of just signing my name, I several circles together, and then attach squiggly lines to the bottom of the circles, and then draw a small arrow describing that this a bunch of balloons for your birthday and fancy shmancy-ness sign my cute little name in loopy cursive.

    Brunch is the most underrated occasion for a group of people to eat mid afternoon, drink mimosa’s either heavily dressed up after church, or for a special event, or perhaps the polar opposite:wearing sunglasses and ball caps in your public pajama’s.

  15. I have the nickname Bubbles..because my adoration and imbibing of champagne has deemed it appropriate by those close enough to see me in my cloud of bubbles. Brunch it is!

  17. hey some of the reasons I am doing a blog are the same reasons you are doing a blog, but I need to reach the goal(s) first because:
    1) I am older
    2) Meryl Streep is not that much older than I am so it will not be much of a stretch – you are too young and pretty and she will not be able to play your younger self

    And because you did, I’ll let you in on a secret I’ve not yet revealed on my blog – I think Coco is one of THE HOTTEST women out there today, and definitely the hottest blonde I can think of. I mean, Ice T has the PERFECT taste in asses! Scrumptious.

    Granted, I don’t know what she sounds like or how she acts (and truth be told, I’d rather NOT know), but bodily… she is perfection. She ranks right up there with Angel Lola Luv, Christina Hendricks, and Anna Nicole Smith (back in her Playboy days).

    And here I’ll bet you thought you wouldn’t have anything in common with me, right? X)
