Dad: So, what do they have to do?
Me: Lip sync for their life.
Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race premieres tonight at 9/8 central, and I am just in the right mood for it because I’ve been watching past season marathons on Logo all weekend.
One thought, though: I wish the producers didn’t insist on showing the queens out of their costumes so much. I know it takes a lot to do all that make up, and it’s not practical for a drag queen to always be in drag, but seeing them in street clothes is bumming me out. I don’t know if it’s the thin, sculpted eyebrows on a man’s face, but they just do not look healthy. Between the dark circles under their eye’s and adult acne, it is just too much of a reminder that they were probably disowned by their parents.
Anyway, so far I’m rooting for the narcoleptic drag queen from Seattle.
Sounds like a quality show. Too bad I’ll be watching The Beverly Hills Housewives. Is it just me or is Kim Richard’s story line turning into a snooze-fest?
Oh, I will obviously be pulling a double DVR sitch because I don’t ever miss my wives of the BH. I’m happy Kim is sober, but at the same time I don’t care and just miss her picking through trash in a limousine w her bull mastiff of an ex boyfriend/enabler.
hahah! He was such a bull mastiff enabler. When they finally did the big reveal, with a close up of his face, I think I let out an audible gasp. LOL! Yeah, Kim should consider drinking again, just for better entertainment value, right?
How is it that I’ve never heard of this show??? Thanks for the heads-up!
I’m so glad you gave me someone to root for as I will have hometown pride with the Seattle uh person. We lost the Sonics but we gained a narcoleptic drag queen!
